New train schedule in effect Monday 04 August
Several bridges in Concord are being reconstructed as part of the Fitchburg Line Improvement Project. To accommodate the use of only a single track between Lincoln and Acton, a new train schedule is in effect for the duration of the construction. The biggest changes are to the evening rush hour trains. In addition trains that do not go all the way to Fitchburg turn around at Littleton/495 instead of South Acton.

South Acton Station construction update
Construction of the station has resumed after a problem with a subcontractor supplying steel for construction of the bridge and station houses. The delay means that the new South Acton station won't be completed until fall 2015, but it will not affect the overall schedule for the Fitchburg Line Project.

5% Fare Increase
The MBTA fare increase has gone into effect. The increase is approximately 5% across-the-board. The one-way fare from Acton to Boston has gone up from $8.75 to $9.25.
